We observed clear similarities in the dynamics for the four behaviors in that they relate to “traditional” subsystems, such as home and school environments, as well as to newly added subsystems, including macroeconomics, social welfare, and urban systems. Results showed that the CLDs consisted of multiple subsystems and three types of dynamics appeared, including (1) feedback loops, (2) connections between feedback loops and subsystems, and (3) mechanisms. Show relation between cause and effect as reinforcing (+) or negative (-)įor the convenience of users who need to draw causal loop diagram, we prepared a ready-made Causal Loop Diagram Template. Step 3: Linking the variables together and determine how one variable affects another. Step 2: Identify variables that are important to the problem. This guide shows you how to create a causal loop diagram from scratch and useful technics.
